While installing front brake backing plates I discovered that my right front strut was leaking. So I decided to look into better than stock parts to replace them.

It seems that we are really limited on aftermarket front struts. The only 2 I could find were KYB and Monroe. The KYB struts are valved about the same as the 2LT sport suspension. I am not sure about the Monroes.

If your looking for KYB struts you might have to check more than one supplier since I have been told by at least 2 suppliers that the struts are on back order till July. I finaly found a supplier with a set in stock.

Will try to take pics for the how to as I get these changed out. Let you all know how it goes and how it rides after..............

 

There is already a how to. It should ride like stock since both monroe and kyb are oem replacements.

 

Actually my HHR has over 50k miles and a leaking strut so I am hoping it handles better.
