Gold-Line ride quality

I can get a smokin deal on a gold-line kit that lowers both ends. Any of you that has this kit could you tell me how the ride quality is. I love the look but I don't want to make my daily driver into a buckboard. Thanks for any replies.

I had the 1st gen Goldlines and found the ride VERY stiff. Drove well, looked great.

They have made a 2nd gen which were to have a softer ride.

Goldlines

Hey Car Guy, I just had Gold Lines installed about 3 weeks ago, and my HHR rides nice. I thougth it would ride stff and bumpy, but actually rides smooth. You can diffently see and feel the differnce, but does make your ride look nice.

Not sure which Gen mine are

I am not sure which Gen mine are but it lowered it about 2 inches all the way around. The ride is better than stock in my opinion and it does not blow around as much in strong crosswinds. Great mod and well worth it.
I think it looks good to.

I have the second gen aswell. It's a tiny bit firmer but thats expected and nothing thats uncomfortable or you wouldn't be able to stand. It looks great with em too and handles awsome! I would Say DO IT.

I have unknown Gen GL's and it sits 3/4 lower then my stock SS and also has a bar....wifey drives it..actually said she hasn't really noticed any difference( gotta love those blondes!!)Ive noticed it and its great. She hasn't complained yet so they must be good, she's had it in all the weather too, just wish the law would quit following her!!!I guess they like it too or just waiting for her to get on that "hot rod"..(stock otherwise) j

I installed a set of 3rd gen GL's on mine about 2 years ago and the ride was okay at first but after a couple of thousand miles the ride was extremely harsh over bumps, i think the struts blew. The dealer said their fine but i am waiting to get some more money and buy the KYB struts, that are now available.

I don't have Goldlines but i have Eibach and i love the ride quality, besides the stock struts and shocks. If you don't change those the ride quality will be greatly reduced with Gls or Eibachs.
