I have Goldline G2 lowering spring front and rear, FE5 rear shocks and FE5 front struts and have an Eibach rear sway bar and I custom fabricated a front strut tower brace.
The springs lowered the car about 3" in the rear and 2 1/2" in the front once they settled in. The FE5 shocks and struts stiffened up the suspension travel for the shorter springs and the rear sway bar and strut brace stabilized it in fast corners.

Thank you. My lid is on the cowl right behind the bottle in the first pic. I have a custom fabricated aluminum one. I took it off while installing the brace.
I talked with my friend Brent who helped build the strut tower brace. He makes tubular chassis for pro street cars. We are building a small run of strut tower braces to sell to the public starting the beginning of December.

Any idea of what the brace might run?

KYB shocks and struts, lowered on SS/SC Cobalt springs here.

I can't recall where I saw it, but there was a thread on here about running different diameter wheels and having issues. Something about wheel/speed sensors/ABS? Sorry, it's kinda vague...if I recall correctly, NON-abs cars don't have this problem. I'm sure someone will chime in with the specific info.

The issue comes more from the stock air box (of an LS or LT anyway) and the way the motor tourques. As you know a front wheel drive car tourques from front to back. I could fit the brace inbetween the stock box and the firewall but when the motor would tourque it would come about 1/2" away from the firewall. Not enough room for a brace to fit without the stock box hitting it so I had to build a custom intake.

Here is what I posted on the other site so if anyone is interested let me know. I would like to build an inital run of 10-15:

So after talking with CJ and everyone at the Tail of the Dragon Cruise and hearing some interest in people wanting a front strut brace like the one I custom fabricated, I talked with my friend Brent who helped me build it.
Looks like we are going to offer a short run of strut tower braces and will start on them the week after Thanksgiving. We will have to buy all the material and build templates for the pieces and build a jig for the brace. We will then test fit every one on my car to make sure it is right.
Looks like we will offer them in primer and you can paint to whatever color you like. I may also paint some up in basic colors I have here now (blue, red, black and silver)(I may have white too).
I looked on the net at strut tower braces for various car models and with time and labor looks like they will be about $110 primed ($120 painted) plus shipping. (shipping will be cheap as I can ship them from work using our corporate UPS account) That looks to be inline with some brands (maybe a bit under) and they only offer one color.
I am hoping to bring the price down some after this first initial startup run when we do a second run. We should be able to cut our time invested as we refine and speed up the process in building them in small batches. I know it will take us a bit to make the proper jig.
So anyway..........who would be interested? Suggestions?

P.S.,
The strut tower brace will NOT work if you have a stock airbox. The airbox will interfer with being able to bolt the brace in (or visa versa depending how you want to look at it). Will also not work with GMPP, Air Raid or K&N for the same reason. You have to have an aftermarket intake like a CGS, Weapon R or some type of custom fabricated intake.

We are also thinking of building a rear sway bar that will be like the OTTP Hardcore bar or XXX bar (1 1/4" or 1 1/2" in diameter) with holes drilled through the bar and a sleeve for the bolts in the hole but may be made from .096 wall and mild steel like the Eibach. We are also designing a piece to make it easier to install the nuts. The Eibach sway bar gave you a nut for each side and a nut with an arm for each side for the back nut. We will build a longer arm and weld both nuts to it like the OTTP. That will be built after the strut braces are done and the first one will be tested on my car before we bulid and sell them.
Those I would also offer in colors for a slight upcharge and the price should be a bit less that the OTTP but that will be determined once we finish the prototype. (around $155.00ish primed and $165.00ish painted in a choice of colors I would guess.) We will see.
