I hear ya about the wind, was not good. (I work on the boats ) Is it possible that this rattle is because the factory shocks are keeping the car from seating on the spring properly?

yes, both cars it sounds like it is coming from the right side, which is weird because when i measured before and after the install both cars have the signature Chevy lean to the left, its only about a 1/4 inch lower on the left as on my s10 as well, except on the S10 the lower you went the more you saw it. i would have to say that the lean has something to do with the crown of the road and maybe they make them like that from the factory but you would think if the car is lower on the left that the noise would be coming from the left. its so slight though, my girlfriend carpool to work and with both of us in the car the noise is gone. it only does it when i am by my self so i am not worried about it. i will see if it gets worse and if so i might jack the back up and let the load off the rear susp and rotate the spring a bit to see if that helps.


I did think it was weird that the rear springs have 2 or 3 coils that are all bunched up at the bottom without any weight on them at all. I've lowered my fair share of trucks and have never seen that before. even on the "How too" that i found on here, i jsut figured the pics were from 1st gens. Oh well i love em and am glad to not be driving a stocker anymore. lowered is the way to go!
