Question Lowering an HHR

I just took delivery of my new LT last night...found this forum this morning, and am already considering tweeking it! I don't even have 16 miles on it yet!!

There is a lot of great info here!!

I love the look of lowering and adding the full spun wheel covers (my ride is silver...saw another posters silver HHR with the full spun wheel covers and dark tint...looks awesome!!!! )

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, I haven't been able to read the entire forum yet:

I have read nothing but positives about lowering an HHR,
(notwithstanding discussions about the various component brands)

anyone have negatives? Is there a downside to dropping the HHR?

Welcome....

"Is there a downside to dropping the HHR?"

Well serious drops could likely void warranty, depending on Dealer.

Boca, perhaps you've heard of Red Racing ?

Some members have used Cobalt springs to get leveled & or lowered.

Not familiar with Red Racing...Actually I have a boat and a kid in diapers, so never really got to know my way around auto shops here...beyond the oil and filters....Just traded in my '99 3/4 ton suburban....gotta love the new mileage!

I am looking forward turning some wrenches and modding....last time I could do that was in the early 80's with my VW Beetle!

This is gonna be fun!

But the Cobalt SS turbo rear springs are on national backorder, so you may want to find something else..... or wait, and wait.........

Be cool if you could find some used though.

Welcome!

Goldline leveling springs and a TTR sway bar. They go together like cookies and milk, hot dogs and mustard ... HHR's and joy rides!
