need lowering help

my car as it sits right now from fender to tire, the rear is 1.5" taller.i ultimately wanted a 3/4.5 drop just to put my fenders on the tires since im keeping my 16s but i cant find anything more than a 2". now i heard you can put cobalt springs on here to lower them.i have found this kit on ebay and it says for a regular cobalt it drops it 2/2.5. would this drop my hhr that much? or does anyone know of another kit to drop my car even more that doesnt involve putting it on adjustable coilovers? thanks in advance and heres the link to the kit

Something to keep in mind, when adding much shorter rear springs. You should also add shorter rear shocks, to limit the rear axle travel.

Otherwise when the car is raised on a lift, rear springs can fall out..

I have the '08-'09 Cobalt SS/TC springs & am very pleased. But I don't want a radical drop either. (been there, done that)..

I dont think there are any hhr specific springs that will drop that much, but look for the B&G or H&R springs for the cobalt.

Will the cobalt springs, make it more leveled, due to the extra weight in the tail ?? Sleeper?

If you want low and level I'd try them.

Sam- The SS/TC springs are made shorter..

For more extreme drops I'd follow Prods' suggestion...

I have a 07 LS. I want to level the rear. To my understanding the 07 cobalt ss turbo charged springs will do this? Lower the rear 1.5" and the ss supercharged cobalt springs only lower it 1"?
Remember I have an '07 LS HHR.

Actually it's the other way around:

Cobalt SS/SC rear springs will drop about 1-1/2" after settling. (softer ride).

& the Cobalt SS/TC rear springs drop about 1-1/8" after settling. (firmer ride).

Could of sworn the turbo charged springs make it lower? Does the year affect the drop as well?

I had the cobalt sc springs. The fronts didnt really drop. The rears are a little weak for the hhr IMO, they dropped slightly lower than the front for me, and seemed to wallow a bit over large bumps. The tc springs are supposed to be a little stiffer though. However the aftermarket springs drop lower front and rear.
