I used Goldlines to lower my car. Loved the look!

Notice I said "loved". It had a nice level, lowered stance. But since I added the subbox and amps in the back, I've got a reverse rake going on!

I need to raise the back about an inch to level things out again.

Any suggestions?

 

You could install shims, or if they were avalible install adjustable struts.

To make socal happy.
If there were adjustable STRUTS AND SHOCKS you could adjust how firm the SHOCKS were.
.....and also I see no reason why some type of shim could not be designed to work with either the rear SHOCKS or springs.
There is nothing MADE up in my post.

 

yea i would try the shims im sure your local auto parts store will have some! If not your local chevy Dealer would!

 

I can tell you guys with all the answers have had the springs out...

There are no shims that will work as the HHR springs have a special winding that hooks on a raised nib on both perches. If you had the springs out you would know this.

Adjutable Struts? Umm..the HHR only has struts in the front - not the rear.

Get real. If you have an answer that you know works - post it.

Would something like the spring rubber they use in NASCAR work? I know it might sound silly, but it seems to work for them.

 

you could maybe get springs with a stiffer spring rate or find coilovers that are adjustable. i've never used anything over than height adjustable coilovers, so thats all i know. can make the car go up and down with a few turns of the spanner wrench.

also... maybe air struts? or is it shocks in the rear? like a utility version you can raise and lower via a valve installed into the license plate bolt hole or something?

Try lightening up the load. First take the speakers out, then the spare ,see what you got.
Speakers are very heavy, may need to reduce your box size...
