New ebay stoppers installed
So I've had a shimmy in the front under moderate braking, and it's been 30k since I bought Pete, so I figured it was about brake time.
Looked around, found Brakemotive on ebay which seemed to be pretty decent and damn cheap. $177 shipped for front and rear rotors and pads. I found some negative stuff, but not a ton of cases considering they have 70k feedback on ebay.
Got them today. They look pretty good. Got the fronts on and bedded in and so far so good.
I am wondering if I should have bled the brake line, as now my brakes have more travel before they really start stopping. And the first pump or two after installation had a not-smooth feeling on the way down. I almost like it better, though, as before they got most of their power in the first inch or so of travel.
ANYWAY, here are some pics.

Cool, I don't bleed em when doing new pads, I do crack the bleeder open as I depress the caliper piston, it pushes out the fluid in the caliper. Then when fully depressed, I instantly close the bleeder.
After assembly of both sides, I pump the brakes & add "fresh" Dot 3 to the master cyl, topping it off..
But thats me...

Just a quick update. Never got to bleeding them, and I don't think it really mattered. I think I just needed to let them settle in a bit. The new brakes now have a few hundred miles and on them and I must say they are working great. They have developed an every so slight squeak as I stop; like in the last 10-0mph, but only when cold, so I'll chalk that up as normal for the pad/rotor combo.
Anyway, so far so good.
