No banjo washer on front calipers!? No leaking 07 HHR Help!

No banjo washer on front calipers!? No leaking 07 HHR Help!

Had sticking caliper, replaced rotor & caliper. When removing brake line there was no copper washer?? Attached brake line to new caliper with no washer, no leaking. Is this normal?

I knew it called for two copper washers, but the original calipers only had one between bolt head & nothing mating to caliper. Wierd sh(t.
