Much easier to just put an open end wrench on it

Sway Bar Bushings for a 2009 2 LT are 25MM

There,

No confusion, I measured it for real with a caliper then tried a 24MM open end wrench on it for good measure. It is 25MM, the 24MM wrench wouldn't slide over it. That's a beefy sized bar for a small car.

I'm thinking that a 1" sway bar bushing would be okay but on the loose side at 25.4MM. To those who have used the Energy Suspension poly bushings, were they "loose"?

Prothane bushings 25 MM

Guys and Gals,

I ordered some Prothane sway bushings for our HHR. I chose these for a few reasons: They have the correct bolt pattern, aren't rubber, are not a universal size but rather 25MM and I did not want the kind you re-grease (but they come with a tube of grease made for them)

It is the great experiment, but I want the clunk to go away really bad. I'm pessimistic that the fix is really as easy as the sway ends and the links but hey....will be great if so! I hope to get them on ASAP.
