Really, after having the Progress bar and deciding to upgrade to the TurboTech (larger) bar, you should consider the TTR bar, who is a supporting sponser on this site.

just put mine on 2 days ago and love it. Body roll is low to none, cornering and maneuverability is much improved. Makes it feel like a different car.

Talking Yep, even on the SS.

Having the TTR sway bar makes quite a difference. The car is rock solid in turns. I just like leaning anyway because my Passat requires me to in the same turns. People say you don't need it in the SS, but you can feel the difference. And, no you don't have to remove the one already installed on the SS. I love it. I do believe that the TTR is about 1/8" thicker that the Progress sway bar.
