rear levelers and 20s

anyone have this setup?

im getting 20s soon and want to drop my hhr, but im affraid of the GL springs setting me too far down.

if i can get a good look with the GL leveler springs, then i would rather go that route.

Do a search for leveling springs and you'll find a few threads with plenty of pics.

thanks, but i couldn't find anyone with the levelers and 20s.

basicly wanting to know if i go with the rear only if i can get a bigger sidewall.

like instead of 235-30-20 i can get a 225-35-20 and still look lowered.

When getting low sidewall tires, it will exaggerate the tire to fender gap and visually make the car look raised. So if you're going with 20's, you better drop it low. 225/35/20 has only an 8.25mm higher sidewall height versus the sidewall height of 235/30/20. It's consider to be virtually the same.

It may fill in the gap just a bit, but not noticeable. Your car will look raised even with the rear leveling springs.

If you're going to lower your car, you will need to trim or roll the rear fender. If you have a 2007 model, you may not need to since the rear fenders come slightly pre-rolled. This is only the case if you go with a 225 width tire with the correct offset. If you go 235's then you NEED to roll/trim the rear fenders.

I have leveling springs and 20's. The ride of the springs are great with stock tires and on the 20's you feel just about everything in the road.

Real Nice setup you have there! Looks great, a little familiar, but still great, I went a little taller tire on the 20" DIPS. I had the lower sidewalls, but changed them to fill the gap a little better. Your car looks great!! Todd (Uma
