Anyone know of a strut/shock upgrade for the SS? vette, camaro?
The FE5 stuff is the best available. The best DD/track setup is FE5 and pedders springs, recommended by John Powell and used by many.

I have stance coilovers, but I ended up at about the height that pedders springs would be due to rubbing/bouncing problems during autocross. I'm strongly leaning toward ditching the coilovers and giving pedders a shot.

So I just keep the Stock ACDelco FE5 struts/shocks and just add the Pedders...

The only Koni's I saw were for the Cobalt, and were around the same price as the OE FE5's. Was I looking at something else? The yellow sport struts? or the red race struts?

I only saw them for the Cobalt also, but the prices were still much higher than the FE5

I looked (and not for very long @ $375 each) at koni's a couple years ago for my '06 and wrote down this part number for them. 8641-1500S

Don't know if that's what you are looking for.

Take a look at these for SS upgrades. Very pricey though:

A shame we are stuck with factory rated parts...wish the vendors would have stepped up...but with such low production of the SS it wasnt cost effective I guess. Though it seems the Cobalts are raced enough, the serious guys would be using coil overs anyway for the adjustability....we going to have to mod our own, go the route of Koni ( I think) and slip a tube into the stock base, can use whatever fits then, or have the stockers sent out for revalving....

Yeah, LS and LT1 are the FE1's, the 2LT is FE3's(sport), and the SS is FE5's(performance)
