Shorter rear shocks for an SS?

I had the same thought Old Blue. But then remembered it drove really nice with the stock springs, so I doubt the shocks/struts are worn out. They also look relatively new compared to the rest of the parts in there so I assume they were replaced by the previous owner.

Cut the bump stops? There was nothing in the ZZP instructions about that. Make sense though, I'd bet the truck is basically riding on them........

Any kit I’ve installed suggested to cut the bump stops , I don’t know about ZZP, they are pretty good for supporting their customers and products, contact them.

the Tein springs show a bump stops guide is included

They may not expressly say cut them, but they do say
  • Important: Ensure the bump stops are not interfering with the new springs.

I took that as make sure they are installed correctly and not interfering with the spring. They are not. They do only have about a half inch of room before they contact the upper mounts though.

Agreed........for the winter it can sit there looking good. I'm going to grab a set of ZZP coilovers and install in the spring.
