Sindy's Lowing project!
For what its worth I never trimmed my bump stops when I lowered my HHR. They were installed at the factory to provent mechanical damage to the suspension. Since I only changed the springs it was safe to assume the mechanical limits for the struts, shocks, control arms, FRAME HITTING PAVEMENT, would be the same and these components would still still rely on the bumpstops for protection (figured if I had harsh bottoming problems I could always trim them later).
Needless to say I have never hit the bump stops and I've tested the suspension throughly on some minumin maintence roads. The bumpstop length was calculated based off all suspension components the springs only changed the neutral position and rate of the suspension. They didn't change the position at which mechanical damage will occure to other components. Just something to think about when lowering your HHR.
