SS rotors on standard HHR
Yes, that is outlined in post#1 caliper brackets and rotors from the non Brembo SS are all you need, the stock calipers are retained. The Malibu Max and Saturn Aura had the same 11.65 inch rotors.
Duralast ceramic pads, AC Delco Ceramic pads both are a good choice and pretty much dust free.

Is there a difference in size with the brake pads or does that size remain unchanged? Sorry if this is too basic of a question. I've looked through multiple of the upgrade threads and I guess the answer is so obvious that it's never mentioned, but just to clarify for dummies like myself.
I live in Europe and when I go to the dealer with some "requests", I need to be precise to avoid confusion. They don't have access to the USA parts catalogue listing all compabilties of vehicles never sold in Europe.
I have imported the brackets, I have the GM parts number for the brake disc (GM 19303825), which will lead to equivalents in the EU parts system when searched, but what I don't know is if they can just order brake pads of the same size that are currently installed or if the bracket switch requires a different size break pad. If somebody could clear that up, it would be much appreciated.

Wonderful! So if I want to, I can go for some sporty ones. Gotcha! Sorry again for the basic question, but that makes it super easy for any repair shop in the future. I don't have to give them "special" parts info whenever I need brake pads.

I recommend solid rotors, ceramic brake pads, they last longer and not as much brake dust and solid rotors with coating to prevent rust last longer then slotted or drilled rotors, it’s an HHR not a Ferrari.
