SS Springs/Sway bars

Does anyone know if the SS stock springs/struts front and rear are different than the ones that come on a LT model??Will the SS springs/struts make it lower??Is it worth doing??Also what's the difference on the sway bars from a LT going over to the ones on a SS model??

I dont know about the sway bar, but as for springs/struts they will work, I think they will give you about an inch of drop all the way around over the stock LT springs. The SS springs are suppose to be better handling(ride and cornering).

I have the SS springs on my 2LT and it made a world of difference. Front and rear. Did not get struts. Leveled and lowered it out. Did not really measure but you can really tell the difference.

Don't know about the sway bar from the SS to LT, but I installed the TTR bar and handling is fantastic. Springs and sway bar was a great addition in my opinion.

The stock rear bars are welded in. The front swaybar can be swapped. SS swaybar (FE5) is 24mm and the one in your hhr is 19 or 22mm. The cradle has to be lowered slightly to do it. It's not worth it for the difference it will make. Get FE5 struts and springs with a good rear bar and you will be happy with the handling.

If your looking to really make it handle, then put FE5 struts with Pedders springs, then put a "Hardcore", 1 1/4" rear bar on from OTTPerformance, then you will have a slot car cornering HHR, for sure. I know for sure this works, and now some of the other V8's know. "Moon"
