Are the Moog 9.5161 bushings split like the OEM, or do you have to take the link loose, and slide them on from the end? Plan on doing mine soon.

Thanks, Bill

If you actually mean Energy Suspension 9.5161's , yes they are split.

yes they are split and easy to install, I had to remove the lower control arm lower bolts to clear the rear studs, I used a 15 MM on the top nut and a 1/4 " drive 10 MM socket on a 6 inch extension to remove the top nut for the rear stud, I used the Energy Suspension bracket for the bushing but not the washers provided.

Hi guys was just reading this thread & instead of starting a new one thought I'd ask your advice. I have a clunking (rattle) in the front end of my HHR, could this be the same problem mentioned here ? Its a 08 with 40000 kms, could the bushings be worn out already ?

Could be. Or, it might be the swaybar endlinks(another part that wears out early)
Best bet is to get the car up on a lift and check everything. Lower control arm bushings, strut bearings, wheel hub bearings, etc. Check everything.
Also check all the mounting hardware, nuts and bolts. Never know. It could be as simple as a loose nut or bolt.
If you can't find anything, then start looking for any loose body panels like inner fender wells, air dams, etc.
Rattles can be a pain to find. Clunking noises are usually easier to locate.

Thanks, was hoping it would be something simple. I will have to get it checked out.
