Sway bar links

06 2LT. I got tired of searching previous threads. A lot of posts about going from 10" links to 12" links. I measured incorrectly and bought 10" Moogs but now realize I have the 12" links. Has anyone went from 12 to 10" links. Would this be a problem? Thanks Am replacing sway bar bushings also.

The links on my car are the12" links. I measured the length of the bar only(wrong way to measure) on the car-10 1/2". New links measure 8 1/2" for the length of the bar only. I was reading some old posts about a FE-3 suspension having 12" links?

Somebody had replaced them already. Do you see an indentation on the Lower control arm from the link touching it?

I have had both on mine, I never noticed any difference, except for the contact with the LCA. But, then I am not a road racer.

I will look today for any contact. My only concern was any compromise to the ride or handling. If the correct size is 10" why do they make a 12" link?. There has to be a stock set up that uses the longer link.I bought the car with 61k miles on it and clunk stated soon after. They have the same patina as the rest of the suspension. I'm very confused.

Some parts book editor noticed that the correct part number ended in "12" so he decided that that meant 12 inches, so therefore the .........
