agreed... a decent rear bar, lowering springs, decent adjustable shocks, and a strut tower brace is about all most people need/want!

don't know about a strut tower brace... do some extensive google searching and you might be able to come up with something...

no idea about a cobalt sway... if you have a performance shop around you, you could just buy one see and return it if it doesnt...

Cool Rear Suspension and Sway Bars

I have been making suspension changes to my HHR even though it came with the "sport suspension" I replaced the rear springs with goldline lowering kit and added a progressive sway bar. The handling improved 100% however the front end still needs some stiffness. I am not inclined to drop the front end and would like to change the struts but cannot find any aftermarket "stuff" on line. Anyone with suggestions?

Where do you get the adjustable shocks and strut brace?

hvrod, I think, and maybe a few others, have used Koni strut inserts. There is also a coil over setup available.

Koni inserts
Koni rear shocks

With the hood design, not sure you could get a tower brace in there.

well as it appears... the koni's are about as good as it gets right now...

until the ss comes out it it doesn't look like much is going to get developed for the hhr... so hope that the ss get's plenty of aftermarket support.

sorry i couldn't help more.

I am sure it will get a lot of support. We will also be one of the first to get one in here and make goodies for them :)

One would think that if the SS got a lot of aftermarket attention, it would bring more as well to the base models, for those who can't afford the SS, but still would like to upgrade their performance on a lower level... Right?
