Uneven Brake Pad Wear

Yesterday I got a nasty sound when braking from the front passenger wheel two turns away from the house. I've got 186k miles on the car and about 30k on these rotors and ceramic pads. Today, I popped off the culprit wheel and found a very worn inner brake pad. I replaced both pads, but was wondering if anyone might have any ideas as to why. I did notice as I was compressing the passenger caliper piston, the side with uneven wear, that the piston boot did not seat flush inside of the caliper. Attached are what the pads looked like. Any idea's on why this may be happening. It may be time to do the non-Brembo SS brakes up front.

The inner pad usually wears more than the outer Because the inner tends to drag on the rotor, the only form of return spring is the square cut O-rings in the cylinders
The slide pins need to be lubed. The rear brakes need to be kept manually adjusted.

Maybe a brake fluid flush would help, that one inside pad side is way different that other inner..

A flush will do nothing for this. Lube the slide pins

It also cleared up a slight thunk noise on my right front.

New slide pins and all lubed up. We'll see what the next few months holds in store. Thanks all for the comments.
