I posted my pics today in an old thread about painting the calipers so if you wanna tease yourself a bit before yours show up check out this thread.

By the way I've noticed that the rotors or the pads rubbing the rotors make a bit of a wizzing sound while driving and it gets a bit louder while stopping. It kinda sounds cool, definatly not a quality issue and the paper work states that they may make some noise that will decrease over the first 1000 miles. I like the sound, it is very faint and does not sound like you have crappy brakes. Has anyone else heard thiers wizzing? I think its the air flow through the slotted part of the rotor, the sound is proof that the design does increase air flow and cooling of the rotors I guess.

Thanks for the caliper painting thread. Looks good. I did buy the kit to paint mine while I'm working on it. I've had the rotors for two weeks now and can't get time to put them on. Painting the exterior of the house. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, so maybe I can pull it in the garage and do it then. Can't paint in the rain.

Opinion question, I have a silver car and thought about painting the drums silver too. Think that would look good or stand out too much? I don't want it to look to ricey.

Painting the drums would not make it look ricey IMO, but it will draw attention to the small rear drums which most people don't enjoy showing off. It would look nice with the front and back matching though, if your not worried and being picked on for your car having rear drums.

i think silver drums would just make them look new lol. and if they're painted silver, they'll look new long after they become quite old haha. IMO ricey would be a random bright color that has nothing to do with the color scheme of the car, like silver car, black interior, neon orange drums...something to that effect

They are on and so far so good! I haven't driven much but I can already tell a big difference. I painted the calipers and rear drums while I was at it. I'm going to start another post with pics.

I'm thinking of going this route too. Green pads I think because I hate the thought of accidentally glazing over the red ones. I glazed a LOT of metallic ones in my day and don't feel I want a repeat.

But to the point. Like most of you I have silly little drums in the rear. Any SHOE suggestions, or just go with stock?
Thanks in advance

First off, I love the EBC rotors and Redstuff pads. They're great.

Harpozep, when I asked my local part store guy about "premium" shoes, he mentioned the Wagner "Thermo-Quiet" brand. I also remember checking AutoZone and Advanced Auto Parts (online) with no real sense that premium shoes are avail. Maybe the Wagners are good-I'm not sure. I don't think that I'll need new brake shoes for a while.

Thanks. We hit 36,000 yesterday and the fronts need rotors and pads while the backs can likely be turned and just need shoes. Just looking for the best shoes. Thanks

We have very limited choice up here in Canada and shipping from the US is very expensive.

Called around for some prices on rotors, and the ones from the dealership are the most affordable at $90 each (same rotors cost $49 in the US).
