Smile HHR get together?

I was just thinking that with the nice weather and the cheap gas (jk),Would anyone in around Southern Ontario region like to get together for a meet and greet? somewhere central to most members.
Nothing fancy it could be at a parking lot somewhere or to a pub for lunch or a park with a picnic lunch...Maybe if we can get enough people together it could be a weekly/monthly thing. Any other ideas are more than welcome.

Guys, I know what we are doing is a bit of a drive, but if you have a vacation coming we would enjoy having you come to the Wisconsin Dells on 24-26 August 2007. It would excellent to meet as many Canadians at this run as possible...

How about a meet at Wheels Inn in Chatam? Last time I was there there was a huge Corvette meet going on.

I just checked out the Wheels Inn website. Looks like a lot of fun and only an hour out of Detroit, might get some Michigan HHR's there too!

That is my kids favorite places to go and its not that far from Port Huron. I cross the border at the Wapole Island ferry and then down to Chatam. Wheels Inn is fun, but not a 5 star hotel if you know what I mean. Some people find it kinda dumpy, but we are not picky and enjoy it.

I just checked out the web site, kinda like the Great Wolf Resort, looks like a blast, I'd bring the family down. Might be a good place to meet.

It doesnt even come close to Great Wolf Lodge. It is a cut rate hotel with some kiddie carnival rides, a bowling alley, lasar tag, and a few pools.

We have stayed there many times and we like it, but if you are used to Great Wolf or Kalihari type places, then you will find this place to be a dump.

My oldest daughter cannot go out in the sun, so we really like the indoor carnival rides and putt putt golf.

I still think it is a great place to meet up, I just dont want people to be disappointed in it when they dont understand what its all about.

We have spent two nights there before. That is way too long. Over night is just enough time. The Fun Zone can be used without staying there also, so if you just wanted to make a long day of it instead of an overnight deal.

P.S. If we do set up a meet there, get a room in the "Tower" section of the hotel. The atrium rooms are pretty old and loud.
