Wow Whopper, wish I saw this earlier. Just sold my Vette a couple days ago or I would have driven up to attend this and possibly meet you,

I sold all 3 of my vehicles and if the wife has an appointment or goes shopping, she takes her car leaving me at home going crazy.

Man I really wish I could have attended. Would have been a nice drive to meet good possibly good people

If I had known ahead of time, I would have sent you bus fare.

I usually attend the Vette show as a couple of my buddies are in it, and they always send me the info on their Club activities, so I just like to spread the word for them.

They put on a great show - I'll try and grab some pictures on Sunday and post them here. What year was your Vette?

this was a local car, purchased at Barrett-Jackson fairly recently - workmanship/fabrication was spot on - check out the fabrication on the underside of the hood

Whoops - how did that get in there?

Not a single one. I've been to a few shows locally, and have never seen an HHR at one. SS versions seem to be pretty rare up here, but a fair number of other models including panels.

I believe this was the first year Riverside opened the show up to cars other than Vettes - there have been local shows almost every weekend lately so sometimes the cars get spread thin across the various shows.

But this year they donated over $2000 to the Special Olympics which was pretty cool.
Last year it got rained on - this year was nothing but sunshine. :)

that Lincoln - cool story - it belongs to a guy who picked it up a few years ago, and started working on it at the body shop where he works. I believe it originally was black, and he painted it about a year ago - it kinda looks black still at the right angle, but when the sun hits it, the green metallic has a nice subtle pop to it. You should see his bosses car - it's a new Challenger, that he has done some serious serious mods to. At first glance you think ahhhh a new challenger, but then you think, naw, it's an old one?? One then starts to wonder what the heck, is it an old challenger modded to look like a new one - a very confusing car, until one looks under the hood. :)
