Is there a tag on it? Any numbers?

What model HHR are we talking about? The SS might have 1 of 2 possibilities.

They both use the same F23 5 speed transmission. Visually they will look the same.
SS's had the F35 Saab built 5 speed.

Reason for asking is its going in a cobalt but i want the final drive ratio that the hhr has .Only numbers I can see are 61dxw 06024746 looks like a bar code .Btw its race car.

Gonna depend on the year. I recall some different ratios that were available in some of the earlier years.

FYI. I looked up complete units for the 2010 HHR and Cobalt. Show the same part number so they would have the same gear ratios.

The difference might be the differential?

FR8 is also listed in the 2008 list. It does not show for later years. It is likely in the 2006 as well but I do not see a list for 2006.

Op have you looked for numbers on the tranny close the the transaxles?
