Talking Its clutch time!

Today i was doing some logs and having fun doing some pulls. Everything is going great so i did one last final pull. Then in 4th gear its really pulling hard then i hit rev limiter really fast so my stock clucth is now slipping. So whats is everyone running? I am stuck on spec stage 3(which i had in my camaro and was awesome) or ky clutch stage 3. both are 6 puck which i am fine with.

Told you, you weren't done Some guys that aren't here any more, said they liked that clutch, and they were making big pull. Ask Mighty Mouse, he will give you some advise.

rob my ky stg 3 goes in on tuesday the 6th. i will let you know how the install goes and how i like the clutch. i finally got everything i need for the install picked up today. got the ky stg the clutch and pressure plate, new slave, new slave pipe (not necessary to replace but it does tend to break upon removal so i got a new one just in case...don't want to break the dam thing once the tranny is out and have to wait to get a new one ordered from the dealer), new gm ac delco flywheel, new gm flywheel bolts, 2qts gm gl4 75w-85 gear oil.....and a few tools to make the install a little easier....engine support brace, vacuum bleeder, and 35mm axle socket.

will update tuesday evening

hey rob,the spec is great, however,if you have the cash get the flywheel too. i didn't and my flywheel needed to be modded to work. interested to know what the ky is about. i have been on this clutch since jan of 09 and it's still going strong. pedal pressure isn't too bad. it's drivable in the city with no problems.

What needed to be modded on your flywheel?

I'd choose the KY over Spec.

RWD people praise Spec, have seen a lot of hit-or-miss with their FWD offerings, everyone also says go with the "+plus" options if you do.

Ugh ! ,
I think i will be watching this outcome , Pretty sure Bartss had the spec, And i did drive it . It was crazy strong , Quick to grab, And it was about twice as hard to push as the stock clutch. Chicago trafic with my daily driver might kill my left leg. But i'm sure i will need a clutch soon. 88,000 miles and holding , Hell the clutch has lasted longer than the engine.

Your panel is looking sweet as f--k Rob.
