Transmission

I have a 2008 hhr. It has 92k miles. The car has been running wonderfully til this morning. I've been driving for close to 3 hours. In and out of driveways constantly switching gears. I'm delivering papers. I put it in reverse and back to the street. This time, going into drive, GONE! NO DRIVE, reverses fine. Help please

I've not gotten to a parts place or shop. That quick with no warning? Could fluid just be too low? Warm motor, bottom line on stick

I don't know what that means. An HHR has no ATF dipstick. If the fluid was low you would have a puddle under your car.

However, it sounds like you have never checked your engine oil.

My guess is one of the internal valves failed. You will need a professional.

There is a link to your Owners Manual in my sig. Sounds like you need one.

Could be loose ground wire check the connection just down to the right of the oil filter cap and housing, check the fuse panel and the TCM connections.
The low on the stick would be normal for a hot engine oil level.
The auto trans fluid level is checked at the fluid level plug on the passengers side of the trans case
