Yes, I have , they can be pried out with patience, not much room to work a pair of medium vise grips to clamp on and wiggle, wiggle, wiggle. Some help from a small pry bar .
I greased the seal and the transmission housing and tapped them in with a socket .
Not a fun job.

there’s a Kent Moore tool for the job

This forum is for the Chevrolet HHR 2006-2011. Not really sure why you're asking about a Cavalier (sp ?). Or what year you have or even when they made them.

And you posted in the wrong section.
"How To" Tutorial LibraryWrite tips and instructions on how to install parts or fix problems. This is for detailed "How To's" only, "not a forum to ask how to do something". Please post those questions in appropriate forums.

The seals are the same in the 4T40E automatic, and I got the thread moved FMG , sorry I was having a cold beverage and barbecuing steaks.

I’m an HHR snob too. I Don’t mind reading about other Delta platform issues, but Cadaverlier? And yet, I learned something. (Thanks, Oldblue.)

Writing it off to a “Good Sam” moment, helping out because we can.

Moving on…

I’m just a helpful kinda guy! Maybe he’ll go out and buy an HHR , after seeing how helpful we are.

Besides, some gen III Cavaliers had the gen I L61 Ecotec, like the 2006 HHR.
