The nice part is people are taking notice, which in the long run should help hold the values up, since most of the people I've spoken with wouldn't mind owning one. What really helped is I was parked next to a PT conv. so now these folks in my neck of the woods know the difference between the two.

Hard to say for sure, but I think it would've helped the HHR's cause if the SS version (or some kind of performance HHR) had come out sooner...even during the first model year. Let's face it, a lot of people lump HHRs in with PTs, and the PTs had a massive headstart on the HHRs, so the HHRs didn't have that "Wow, this so cool and different" vibe that PTs did when they were first introduced. And by the time HHRs came out, the PT already had the GT turbo performance variant available, w/some luxury to boot (leather heated seats, etc.), and a non-GT, lower-HP turbo engine available as well. The PT had a wide range of drivers covered.

Just seems like GM could've taken a look at the PTs (which I think had peaked, in terms of trim levels, performance models, etc just as the HHR came out) and realized that the HHR was entering a tough market, and needed to make the HHR appeal to as many drivers as possible to stand out. Easy and simple for me to say for sure...just sad to see the HHR going...I love mine.

Gary, saw your car today, the new owner really was excited with it and she was even more excited when I told her I know the prior owner. Told her to look you up on the forum.

No more competition, driving it more with starting the new business.
