I really would like to do this. Surprised no one else has. I suppose it's not very cost prohibitive?

Looks great. Congrats on the feature.

I'll answer since Mitz is busy painting with the grand-daughter.

the tires themselves aren't as bad to keep clean as I thought. Some simple green the first time with a toothbrush got all the blue that was on it off, now I just use wheel quick detailer on the whitewalls once a week when I wipe off the wheels.

The tires are a tad oversized with some good side-walls and rides if anything a bit smoother on the freeway, more cushion I'd call it, yet still seems to corner similiarly to the stocks.

Cost was actually not much difference from what I paid for the 20" VCT's and tires I put on my magnum, but more in reverse, with tires costing more.

4 whitewalls ran us about $900, and the rims I believe were $520 +250 for the paint match centers. If you went all chrome, they'd be a tad less. Wheels are "Wheels Vintique" brand that are pretty much made to order. Can't remember the tire brand offhand, but can get that info if you need.

See above - Wheelvintiques.com makes them, one set at a time, since they are kind of rare and can be ordered different ways. Try this link and look at the SMOOTHIES...
