This thread is just shy of 4 years old...just sayin.

 

The flames, which were actually not what I intended, were on the car before the name was given.

After buying the HHR and putting my EZ Pass on the windshield, I did not like the way the white box looked from the outside. It really stood out. So I went to my friends shop to get some windshield tint across the top to conceal it. He had just gotten a new decal making machine, and added some yellow flames to it. Then he offered to put some flames on the sides. I was expecting something subtle, just an outline. I was very surprised when I saw it. A week later, I figured that if we added something small to the back, it would balance it out. It didn't, so we put the ones on the front behind the headlight. It was meant to be temporary, but I wound up leaving them on at the time (but I have been waiting for a hot day to soften them up so I can remove the side and back ones now). Anyhow, after posting photos on this site, people began suggesting names and the most popular one was Flash. I agree with you that lightening bolts would have been more appropriate. Besides, the Flash was fast, and HHR's are not exactly known for their speed.
