Retrolled featured 2011 april submission
kentucky ave. technically its indy but closer to camby/ mooresville. south west side.. i got family in avon so im out there alot almost too much.. and hate hate hate to travel rockville rd. cus people cant drive and are stupid lol .... the ss is cool cus your right you will fool " alot of locals". think about how many people dont even know what an hhr is :)
Exactly..my nephew told me if I do put the SS on I would be getting a lot of people wanting to race, not yet! Absolutely right about Rockville rd, it sucks because people CAN'T drive. I try to be a patient driver but when I go down that rd I can't help myself. We need to meet up some time, I hear on Fri nights they hang out in Kroger parking lot in Mooresville.

The way I see it, if you put your car out there, I'm assuming you're open to comments AND criticisms. I know whenever I put my car up in a submission thread, I will accept both, provided the critiques aren't mean-spirited.
OK, first, the compliments:
Though I'm not a big fan of half-panels, I like yours a lot...the tinted windows and the black paint really make this look tie together perfectly. I love the way the chrome rims, side mirrors and door handles "pop" from the sea of black. And yeah, the photos are very well-taken.
As far as my lone criticism goes, it's the SS labels. Just seems a little odd to me. And that doesn't stem from being an SS "snob", as I like HHRs of all trim levels...the SSes are my personal favorite, but I've seen plenty of LSes and LTs, both stock and modded, that have impressed me. But I guess I don't get the SS badging...no matter how I look at it, it just doesn't look right. Your car is clearly not an SS. I guess I could understand it somewhat more if you had a full SS body kit, but even the more casual HHR enthusiasts are going to know pretty quickly that it's not an SS.
Anyway, one last compliment...you don't need an SS label for your HHR to look mean. It looks plenty mean without 'em, and in a good way!
I don't mind the criticism, everyone has their own opinions. I did know it was up for critiquing but doesn't mean I'll change anything from the way it stands. Cloning of SSes have been going on from the beginning of the SS, to me it's not any different than putting decals or any other stick-ems..aftermarket, non factory accessories on ur car. After all there all for looks mainly....make it ur own. It may be or may not be the only SS like it, but I doubt it.
I would have much rather of had the real thing, but the timing and finances was not there. Thank you for hour comments...it all good!

Cool, glad you're receptive to both sides. I always say it'd be pretty boring if we all liked the same things and all had the same reasons for what we choose to do.
And glad you respected my opinion, even if you didn't agree with it.
