Whats your gas mileage on your HHR

Hi

I am going to buy my daughters 2007 HHR with 94000 miles on it.Have been looking at used pontiac Vibe, but we have had many chev with the 2.2 .Just wonder what kind of mileage you get with your HHR .she mention 25 all around,30 highway...thanks

My wife gets about 23-24 city and about 32-33 highway on her LT. I get about 17-18 city and about 34 highway on my SS

Hello and welcome. The HHR would be a good car for your daughter! Does well in crash ratings :)
I have a 2011 with a 2.2 my avg mpg around town is 26.4 winter and now 28 mpg summer gas.. I also live rural so very few stop lights
The nice thing with the HHR is it is a traedy car like the Scion with young people , the low price and style gives them many options to dress them up! :)

In the 115,000+ miles on my 06 LT1 w a 2.4L auto, my average has been a tad over 30 mpg, but I also do a lot of highway driving on cruise control as much as possible, keeping to the speed limits.

You can't go wrong with the HHR, they have their quirks, but compared to a Vibe they are twice the vehicle.

Here's an old thread on gas mileage, it goes back almost six years, but you'll get a great sample of average fuel economy.

P.S. its a long thread, enjoy.

I got 28 average today...But I was following large trucks as much as possible. Wanted to see how it would do, taking some pressure off the visor. Seems to help, since the average on the prior 6 tanks was 24.5. Four mpg is a lot, but I like looking at it...:D

The visor is cool Sam, but its adding some drag, its the price ya pay for good looks.

At one point the 2.2 DIC hasnt been reset in 4 years..read 33.....the SS varies..on other coast was getting solid 28 to 32..on theleft coast around 25-26...use everybodies avg as a guide..it all depends where you live..I dropped since coming out west because of all the hills..back east it was fairly flat. It works harder here even though its more hwy...
