[PICS] Wrecked the HHR

This morning on her way home from work, my wife was in a pretty bad accident. An SUV turned un front of her and she had no where to go. She hit it between 55-60 mph, then hit another car. There were several witnesses that stayed and the other driver got at least one ticket, and was deemed at fault by Law Enforcement. She was banged up pretty bad and went to the ER. So Far, its all lots bumps, bruises and soreness.......and lots more bruises..........She is medicated and sleeping now. Thank God our 4 month old was not with her.

The car is a mess, but I still have my girl..............shes gonna be hurtin for a while.....

Never good to see a thread about a busted or totalled HHR but always good to see a thread where the HHR protected its occupants especially in an accident like this where she was hit at 55 MPH.

Tell your wife our thoughts and prayers are with her speedy recovery.

thanks.........I really hope they total it because I dont want it back. It has visible frame damage, plus some degree of motor damage. It would never be the same

I am no expert but IMO, it's totaled. It would seem foolish to try and fix all of that.

The body shop it was twed to said it was totaled. It has visible frame damage, and appears to have engine damage.........Of course, the insurance adjuster may not see it that way.......

Glad she will be OK. That looks like about a 35 MPH hit to me. Probably totaled, but no roof damage that I can see. The car handled the hit very well. I hope she's feeling better, and that you get a new HHR.

I saw a HHR t bone a Mustang that ran a red light. The results were similar. It is good to see after a serious crash the drivers compartments are stayinf intact.

Wish your wife well I know the air bag along is painful since I tested mine last fall. The impact she had is all that more painful. We wish her a speedy recovery.
