I am wondering, I have a 06 hhr and the dimmer dial for the interior lights doesn't have a setting to turn on the dome light. Is my switch broken or is there no way to turn on the dome light from the front seat?

there is no dome light switch for 06. One of the perks of have a year one car is being a ginea(sp) pig. Then Chevy calls you for feedback and survey and the adjust things but people have gotten the 07 dome switch and put it on the 06 so they have the switch there is a thread and how to do the mod here it is:https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-tutorial-library-21/how-convert-2006-dimmer-turn-dome-light-7864/

I was gonna add the switch but hardly have people in the backseat and when there is it is me looking for something with hatch or door open so dome light is on

 

This thread turned out to be good info. I didn't realize the dimmer switch had a dome light position on my '08...the salesman just described it as a dimmer switch, and I haven't read the owners manual in detail. Tryed the switch and it turns on both the dome light and both lights in the rear view mirror.
