I have an 07 Panel. On the 08 Panel they added rear door release to the keyfob remote. Anyone know if you can have the 08 keyfob programmed for an 07 and if the rear door feature will be active?

 

That sounds like a Snoopy or a Dealer Question to me.

My guess would be that the '08 has a sensor and auto-release mechanism inside the tailgate. You'd probably have to change the "guts" of the tailgate, then program the key fob.

MY QUESTION IS - is that feature only available on panels, or do all 2008's have that ? I'd like to have that on my '07 LS.

 

My 08 Panel dosen't have that release, but I have stick.

 

My '08 2LT does not have that feature.

 

When I first read this I though you meant the side rear doors. But others are commenting like it's the rear hatch.

Which is it? Might clean up some of the confusion.
