lots of reading to only show this as a change.

In 2007 the L61 was upgraded with a second generation cylinder case, Coil on plug ignition, 58x crankshaft position sensing and a 32-bit computer.
Still the same block.

Ecotec Cylinder Case == Engine Block

Even the Wiki article states that the 2007 2.2 was upgraded to the Gen II block.

The Ecotec oil pan is also now considered part of the block as well because it's a structural member.
