2006 LT HHR Wrecked

Just bought the HHR a Month ago, let the Wife Drive it to Work today....

She Rearends a Lincoln Navigator.

Minor Collision so She is OK !

Due to Insurance Issues that I won't get into, Does anyone Know Where I can get a New/Used Hood and Bumber. Preferable Grey in Color ?

I can probably could due the Work Myself and It would be an Easy Fix but.....

Thanks;

Robert

Well your out in flat Sac and lots of good wrecking yards around. I bet you will find one. Also look on ebay. I purchased a rim on ebay. Was cheaper than my wrecking yard. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about your wife's mishap with the HHR...glad she's ok. Here's a guy on eBay that has several front bumper covers...unfortunately not grey in color though.

You might also want to check out the local salvage yards as well. They can put it on the network and find someone who has one I'm sure.

wow. I have been on ebay every day since I bought my 06 2LT...I havent seen any body parts...just whole cars.

I'd try your local Chevy dealer that has a body shop...perhaps they have an old hood they replaced on another one.

sorry to hear about the mishap...and lastly, I've seen what happens to these hoods....they look like they're made of tin foil...crumple zones?...more like fold zones....

It's going to be tough to find a hood...unless a wrecking yard in your area happens to have a car that is only 2 model years old...barely 3.

Let us know, ok?

and if you were ever considering a two-tone paint scheme...now might be the time.

Do a search on www.Car-Part.com. You'll search by zip code for salvage yards near you. They even list the parts by condition & color.

I see body parts on Ebay all the time. Try breaking down your search a little farther. Robert.
