You can actually get the "TPMS rebuild" kits, but they are still going to need to be installed anyway, so there is that. I agree with the "replace them all" strategy and did exactly that when I put new tires on the LT.

When it comes time for new shoes for the SS, I will probably do it again just as PM.

The "rebuild" kits do not include the battery, that is epoxy sealed into the unit. The kit is a complete rip off; if you have rubber stems it is the core and a cap and screw (not subject to wear), metal stems add a rubber gasket and a nut.

I refuse to pay the price, I bring my own rubber stems if needed.

Well, that certainly makes the "kits" worthless in my book.
I think $100 is not much to pay to get 7-9 years of service out of the real deal.
My tire guys install them free so it is easy.

Had the problem on one wheel when I got new tires on my 2009. Read on this forum somewhere that they sometimes can be reset by reducing the tire pressure below 25psi and then airing it back up to required pressure. Took care of mine. I know I am due someday, but not today.

You could read your Owner Manual (see the link in my sig). The exact procedure for resetting the positions is in it.

Sometime in 2010 they changed the system to needing a special tool.

all I know is whem I replaced my tires last year I also did the sensors no problems
