2010's... here they come
Well if a vehicle sells less than 300 units per year it not a good sign it will be around long.
Kind of like manual trannys. You get everyone saying they need to make more but outside some performance models they sell less than 6% of most models as manuals.
Even the SS was only 1/4 manual.
The sad part is few people today even know how to drive them. But on the other hand they are seldom stolen.

Great point about being stolen less.

That is not a joke. It is true.
Sad though the market has slipped on the manuals to the poin I think they are only 6% of the entire market.
Even Ferarri is now Semi Auto on most of their cars.
Many enthusiast say they want these cars but they are rejected by the majority of the market. I always tell them they need to teach a kid how to drive one.
But on the other hand they could care less since they can't shift and text. I had a woman last night talking on the phone in one hand and smoking with the other. She could not shift if she wanted too.
I had to brake test here just because it ticked me off. Evil yes but I made my point that I wanted her to have at least on hand on the wheel. I got her to quit smoking too when she dropped the butt.

I have no evidence to back up this theory, but... I believe the AA5 was an attempt to salvage the sales of some "full panel" models by putting doors with windows and a back seat in them. It was not rooted in a design decision. The AA5 was born out of a need to move a car that wasn't selling.

Either way it will be a rare option in the future with so few sold.
