2011 hhr lt

Hello,

I just purchased a 2011 HHR LT with 66k miles on it. I'm curious, are there any particular issues to watch out for with this vehicle?

Wow. Nice low-mileage score.

Post a pic or two?

Read the manual. Full of fun surprises. Avoid embarrassing stupid questions that everyone says don’t exist.

Figure out if you have a 2.2 or a 2.4 liter engine. You’ll want to know later.

Change the oil more often than the panel says. I go at 50% of remaining oil life.

Run it though a good under-body wash a few times, unless you know for a fact it has never seen salt. Then do it anyway. But other than that, avoid regular automatic car washes. They’re rough on any car. Instead, consider a good professional ceramic wax job. Then the paint holds less dirt.

If you have trouble with the radio, it’s not the radio. Bad radio reception is likely the antenna. No sound even with a CD is likely the speakers.

As with any car, investigate a check engine light immediately, even if it seems to run fine. Investigate weird noises, even if it seems to run fine.

If you hate the car, PM me and I’ll see if I can help you get rid of it, lol.

Enjoy!

I don't have any photos yet, as I'm picking it up on Monday, but I'll post once I have it. It looks to be in impeccable condition and has only had one owner.

Nice score, is it a 1LT or 2LT ? Sunroof? Leather ? Pioneer sound system? Post a photo of the RPO code sticker in the glove box and we can decipher what you have purchased!
my 2011 2LT is almost at 200,000 miles so you’re gonna have a good long time with it.
congratulations and welcome to the site.

I'm not sure what sticker in the glove box you're referring to. There are two. Is it the one with a barcode, or the service parts identification?

Just brought it home from the dealership.

Service parts I.D.

Big silver sticker with a lotta 3-character codes. Sideways on the bottom left of the glovebox by the passenger's knees. Can't miss it. Unless some removed it, which would beg an explanation.

Might take a couple shots to get all the info in focus.

Also, what a pretty car! Maybe it already has a ceramic job.

Looks like a 2LT, so probably 2LT, 2.4 liter, FE3 "sport":suspension.

Just as an exercise I made the sticker easier to read.

Many of those codes can be found at a post on the subject. I bet this special edition has more mystery codes than most tho.
