Mine is a 1LT with 2.4 and chrome package. 1LT can have the 2.2 or the 2.4.
One easy give away unless they have custom rims are the 16's on the 1LT and 17's on the 2LT.

I bought the 1LT because it had what I wanted. Altho I did add the runningboards and spoiler on after I bought it. The 2.2 was good enough for me, I don't have the need for speed at this time in my life, 52yo. I had my days of that. I did not need the cd changer, my mp3 player holds more music. And since my kids are grown, I did not need the option of a dvd player in the head rest, When I travel I take my laptop along. The only thing I wish I was able to get was the Blue, but the one at the dealer was 5spd, and with two bum knees, it is kind of hard to shift. So I got the Red. But no regrets.

As said before, in all the basic forms , they are all HHRs

2006 lt2

I bought mine as it was on the lot. A 2006 in May of 2007. The dealer knocked $5k off the sticker price to move the vehicle. I had to drive a basic LS HHR as a loaner car this week and what a difference. I do not think I would have purchased a HHR if I had test drove the LS. I love my LT2. Appearance and Ride.

I'm accustomed to only being able to afford the base model car, so initially I was thinking I would only be able to get the LS. At the time, though, the incentives Chevy was offering were $750 off LS and $1500 off LT. That made the LT only a few hundred more than an LS base price, so I went 1LT. To be honest, too, I prefer the appearance of the 1LT's trim to that of the 2LT, and as others have mentioned above, I don't particuarly care about getting a CD changer, heated seats, etc. I do worry about the high "stainability" of the cloth seats, but don't care for leather, either, so I'm good to go with "only" a 1LT!

I came very close to buying a 2LT. I like the luxury. I ended up with an SS, but still miss some of the amenities that I would have had.

My 08 panel is the 1LT, mainly because I wanted all black, as little chrome as possible.

I have OnStar, the 2.2, auto, steel wheels.

Would have liked the 'Premium' sound system, but did not care for the 'Premium' price, would have been only a few hundred less than the full 2LT package.

I like the bigger engine, suspension package and 17" rims on my 2LT.... Stereo's nice too. I actually like the chrome bits on my black HHR but then I'm old school.......

That's the only thing I'd LOVE to rid my 2LT of- all the chrome! Luckily, it's silver, so the chrome doesn't stand out as much, but still, it's not for me...
