Just a thought but how about a Wednesday Meet for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame followed by 2 days of Cedar Point on Thursday/Friday so you can get a combo package and make the most out of the rides and the actual Meet and Greet on Saturday. Gives everyone time to spend together Saturday and then time to head home etc. Those that want can come for all. Or 2 days of the Point plus the Meet. Or 1 Day of the Point plus the Meet. Or just for the Meet.

Siobhan, I have received e-mails back from 2 Hotels for the Sandusky part of the stay and one may be promising. I will let you know when I hear more. I know its still so far away but we need to try to narrow down to some dates.

How does these dates set with everyone?!?. June 26, 27, 28, and 29th. This would be Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The 26th and 27th would be spent in Sandusky at Cedar Point. Saturday the 28th we could convoy to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and spend the night. Everyone head out on the 29th. Here is an option for a Hotel for Saturday night (Considering the free tickets to The Museum, free breakfast, and free parking the price is really great):

Holiday Inn Select – Downtown
216.241.5100
$139.99 - $169.99

Enter group booking code: roc
Overnight Guestroom, Breakfast for Two Adults, 2 One-Day Tickets to the Rock Hall and Free Overnight Parking for both days.

Here is a response from the Kalahari Resort (a possible Host Hotel for the Sandusky Portion):

Dayton,

It is very hard for me to quote you group rates for your event next year because the group rates all depend on the day of the week and time of year that the event is held. I can tell you that a mid-week trip would be cheaper but weekend dates certainly would not be "unaffordable." Most likely, if you choose to book this soon, I would be able to get rooms anywhere from $124 to $264, depending on the room type that is wanted, and again , the dates that you would be needing the rooms.

Kalahari is literally a destination resort with everything under one roof. To
name some of the things that we have to offer, we have 5 different places to eat, a spa, shops, activities, home of America's largest indoor waterpark, and so much more. There is something to do for everyone! And that is just the resort side.

The Nia Center hosts our convention space where we provide our guests with state of the art technology as well as exquisite catering options. With 95,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, there is always the "perfect" room for any group.

I hope this helps to give you an idea of what our resort is all about. For your
convenience I have attached some documents that you might want to take a look at. Anything else - please ask!

Me too!!! To receive the discount we need a total of 10 rooms. Either 10 for 1 night or 5 for 2 nights. Just as long as it equals 10 rooms rented. We really need to narrow down some dates though. MrVette would not be able to make the last week of June or 1st week of July so I'm going to take that into consideration.
