I turned 40,000 last month (May 2012). Now have 41,000. I have a 2008 SS with the GM Turbo Upgrade that was installed at 7,000 miles in 2009. The car also has a 5 speed and limited slip transaxle.

Not sorry I bought it; Going to keep it...

PS, The SS was used for work, but will now be put out to pasture and get an imaginary set of "velvet ropes" around it. It's retiring only to weekend use on fair weather days. I'm getting a new Ford Fusion for work.

I've been driving my HHR a lot- 400 miles this week alone, so I hit 40,000 a month sooner than I expected- I have over 10K miles left on my GM certified warranty. I noticed that the MPG readout shows 35mpg at 60mph when I'm on cruise control and when driving the same road at a steady 60mph- no cruise- it's more like 31-32mpg. Why the difference?

I've noticed that with cars also. It's probably because no matter how steady and smooth we think we are with the throttle, the computer can do it better.
