ABS sensor and module voltages?

I have a 2011 HHR panel, and getting ABS, Tracking, and brake lights as well as a C0550 code. I was testing my wheel abs sensor on both front wheel hubs, and had a couple of questions. First what should I get for a voltage reading from the module side of the connector when disconnected from the sensor? And I did a voltage test on the sensor's themselves and get no reading, ist that normal? Also the ohms reading on both wheel hub sensors was just over 1500. I was thinking wheel hub sensor but Im confussed now, any advice would be great.

If the wheel sensor readings were not plausible, you should be getting C0035/40/45/50. (LF/RF/LR/RR respectively.)

Red face

well it is not sending them, but when I do the AC voltage test on the wheel speed sensors they produce not reading, I have researched online and that is supposed to mean they are defective, is that accurate, I know the speed sensor can fail but the hub can be undamaged. I was also wondering what the correct harness side of the sensor should read in DC voltage as well. Thanks.

When the wheel spins the sensor sends an AC FREQUENCY.
C0550 does not indicate anything about the wheel speed sensors. It is about an internal fault in the EBCM, possibly a voltage supply problem or just broken.
The C0550 code shuts the ABS, ESC, ETS off and light the BRAKE light.

Hey thanks, sounds like im looking for a ground our wire problem. So the fact the wheel speed sensors are producing no voltage would not cause the ECM or ABS module to send a no signal code? I thought that ment they where bad, I had a few other codes all abs related but cleared them and disconnected the battery, and they have not returned yet.

That is why I wanted to know the voltage reading from the harness side of the ABS speed sensor to rule out the ABS, and look at the next potential problem, and not just through parts.

Where did you see "no signal code"? C0550 is "EBCM internal fault".

Take a chill pill friend I was talking about the sensor not sending its Ac voltage that is supposed to activate the ABS warning which can and does often activate the ECU. The ABS module will cause that as well, They all read as an internal error, no communication. I just want to know if the no signal that a hundreds or more of sites online say can cause this code and several others that have not returned to activate. And what the voltage of the ABS to the sensor is the check my readings. And that will help me check of somethings and not start throwing parts at it. I started to get a hub noise tonight so there's that. That is why I came here, surely someone can confirm some of this info online and give me the voltage reading.

If i know the voltage that the EBCM provides the ABS That may help, and I may be able to elliminate the ABS module as a culprit as well.
