Has anyone had trouble getting the star screws out on the factory air cover on theirs to change the air filter?

 

Have 07 2.2 No problem I just think too many screws

 

I got mine open without too much trouble, the screws were very tight but once cracked spun out freely, I used a ratchet with a screwdriver bit adapter.

Be careful not to go too hard and strip the threaded metal inserts out of the plastic airbox... actually now I think of it they might just be self-tapping into the plastic

 

maybe its just me , the first two on drivers side are so close to the firewall im struggling some..
