I'm saying it takes a rare breed to wash a car in the snow.

Um, no you're not crazy. I store my HHR in the winter.... It's an HHR, not a special car!

But even if I didn't have a heated garage to use, I would wash it all the time! I wash my Lumina at least once a week!

I have washed the car in the rain ... well, it started to rain as soon as I was done and I knew it was going to rain, but cleaned it anyhow.

Ah well .. supposed to be 75F new years day, so I will clay bar after the Rose Parade.

I've washed my cars in the rain as well, but only when I don't have to drive them until the weather is clear.

Around my area, rain doesn't get the car dirty when its just sitting in the yard. The rain water is soft enough that it rarely leaves spots.

It's when the car is driven in the rain is when it gets dirty from all of the road grime that's thrown up.

OK, I’ll say what Brad did not. My book says you are all delusional washers, rain or snow. Hopeless HHR addicts.

However, like others posting I have found a light mist or rain when washing is sure nice. Keeps the soap from drying on those hot, dry California days.

It may be rare in TX in the snow but if we can get a day or garage where the water will not freeze as we wash game on!

You have to remember we can go long periords of time where we will not lose the snow or never see a temp over 32 degrees. Kist have to do the best you can with what you get.

The fact is we just have to wash the car to change the dirt. We get tired of looking out the wiper sweeps in the windows and having so much dirt on the head lights that you can hardly see at night.

I had a while SS this week and now it is black again.

What really ticks me off is they are spraying brine on the roads here now. Like last week we had 4 good days in a row. I washed the HHR the roads were clear and two days before any snow in cloudless skys they begin to spray the roads. The sad part is it really does little when it snows as they still freeze and still have to salt them anyways.

Oh yea! Try washing when the water stiffed up. Washing with Ice is a challange. Yes I have done it.

When you have to keep hosing the car off to keep it from freezing you know it is cold.

At least todays cars don't freeze shut like the old ones did.
