Another n00b
I just picked this up this weekend :)
2006, manual LT with a lot of options. Front/side airbags, ABS, power seat w/ lumbar support, pioneer stereo, extra chrome package, running boards, roof rails, much nicer grill, alloy wheels. Only 13k miles. I was looking at new with all the incentives that chevy's doing, but this was more optioned and I was demanding SOM in a manual which was proving hard to find in the 08s. We found this on ebay, and we went right to the dealer. We talked them down from 13,9 to 11,990 so I'm pretty happy.
So far, I love it! I've gotten up to 35 around "town" which is mostly 45-50 mph speed limits with a dozen traffic lights and probably around 30 on the highway, 65-70.
A few things i'd like to know, on this 06, is there a way to get an instant fuel mileage reading? I've only found the average, trip meters, etc, but no instant economy reading. Also, anyone know anybody that tunes HHRs yet? I had my 2002 Z/28 tuned and both power AND mpg picked up significantly just with the tune. I get 26 with that on the highway, this little HHR should be able to do more than 4 mpg better than that!
Also, where do you guys find the retro badges for the side of the hood? I really like the look of the classic chevrolet script on the side.

Instant fuel mileage isn't available for the 06 models, only 08s and newer.
Check the Supporting Vendors for available tunes.

I think he wanted the 'classic' badges for the sides...

Like others, I prefer the more modern look that matches the badges it has now!
