Another New Member Introduction

Hello fellow HHR owners. The wife and I picked up a 2006 LS HHR two days ago and are all smiles. We like the roomy nature of the car along with the retro-styling. We have owned several classic cars including a 1950 Ford, 1960 Cadillac, and currently a 1972 VW Bus. The classic style melds wonderfully with the new car amenities and the rollerskate like handling. Sorry I don't have any descent pics yet, we took delivery of it after dark and now it is filthy after driving around in the fresh snow all day.

Here's a blurry picture (temp was about -5F) of it at the dealership. We traded the 95 Blazer that is sitting next to it.

Here it is at home getting to know its color match driveway mate.

I bought mine on New Year's Eve, 2007...and I am enjoying it immensely.

I almost bought a orange one myself, but it was in pretty rough condition, and when I saw my dark silver 06, I HAD to have it.

enjoy, sit back and read as much as you can. I garrantee this site will teach you more about your new toy than any salesman ever knew about it.

He will start if the temps above 10 degrees. Right now the poor battery doesn't have enough CCA and the oil is too thick for the temps.

Welcome to our newest member. I also am from Wisconsin. I have many memories from the early 70s in Mad-town, but we won't talk about those. LOL. You guys don't know how iconic it is that he owns a VW bus living in Madison. When most think of counter-culture and freaks and hippies and radicals, you tend to think of Berkeley or UCSB in Isla Vista, but it all started in Mad-town. glad you got a HHR.

Unfortunately, the VW scene in Madison is non-existent. There are a few of us and we can never get together to do anything. I am glad to here that there is a regional group for the HHR, I hope to meet some of you and share in the experience of this versatile car.
