ANOTHER steering problem and 17,000 mile update

Looks like I have another issue with the steering on my 2009 HHR at 17,000 miles. I started feeling a "clunk" in the steering wheel, brake and gas pedal, usually at parking lot speeds. This time the service advisor told me the "intermediate shaft" had to be replaced. Took 2 hours to complete, under warranty, and it's working fine again. About a year ago, at 6000 miles, I had the entire steering column replaced. Before that, at 1700 miles, the check engine light came on and the "mass air flow" sensor was replaced.

Otherwise, I still love the car and I'm just hoping the troubles don't continue. On a positive note, no problem with the brakes and no water leaks, common problems that I've noticed on these forums. Averaging about 29.5 MPG in mixed city/highway driving (I have the 2.2 and auto), but I REALLY baby this car when I drive it

Century Chevrolet in Broomfield also did an oil change and tire rotation for about 40 bucks. Free Wi-Fi in the waiting area, so the 2 hours went by pretty fast.

Check out my HHR blog for more details and photos
